Brayden Billington is named LTEC Student of the Year.

[May 18, 2026]

Lincolnland Technical Education Center (LTEC) is proud to recognize Brayden Billington as the LTEC Student of the Year. Brayden is the son of Jackie & Jeremy Billington. Brayden’s dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to developing his skills in the trades have made him an outstanding representative of LTEC and career and technical education.

Brayden has spent his time at LTEC building his welding knowledge and experience through the Advanced Metals program. He shared that he enrolled in the program because he wanted to continue pursuing welding and challenge himself to see how much more he could accomplish in the field.

His long-term career goal is to pursue pipeline welding, a field that requires precision, technical skill, and determination. This fall, he plans to attend Heartland Community College to study automotive technology while continuing to build experience in the skilled trades industry.

Outside of school, Brayden balances work responsibilities at Ace Hardware and Graue Chevrolet. Through both school and employment, he has demonstrated responsibility, professionalism, and a strong willingness to learn.

When reflecting on his experience at LTEC, Brayden shared that his favorite part of the program has been learning from Mr. Akers and growing his skills through hands-on instruction and real-world experience.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing and detailing his car, hobbies that reflect both his patience and attention to detail.
The LTEC Student of the Year award recognizes a student who exemplifies leadership, dedication, skill development, and readiness for future success. Brayden has consistently demonstrated these qualities throughout his time at LTEC, making him highly deserving of this honor.

Congratulations to Brayden on being named LTEC Student of the Year. We look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the future.
