Iva Mae Blaum Trust Scholarship available for nursing and agriculture students

LINCOLN, IL – Heartland Bank and Trust Company is accepting applications for the 2026 Iva Mae Blaum Trust Scholarship. This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors located in Logan County pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture or nursing.

The scholarship, given in memory of Arthur B. Blaum and Iva Mae Blaum, is a renewable award intended to fill the gap between billed tuition and any other scholarships or grants awarded to the student. Each semester’s award may not exceed the base tuition rate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The scholarship is paid directly to the student’s chosen university and is renewable for up to eight semesters if the student continues to pursue an agriculture or nursing degree, completes 12 or more credit hours per semester and maintains at least a 3.0 grade-point average.

Iva Mae Blaum was a graduate of Deaconess Hospital of Lincoln and retired from Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in 1985 after 46 years of service.
