[November 12, 2018]  Activities, Community Events, and Fall Programs through the end of November

The Lincoln Park District Administrative Officers are open weekdays 8 a.m. to 6p.m. with hours extended to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays

The Fit Zone is open weekdays 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Many programs require pre-registration and fees may be charged for non-members. Be sure to read the details of each event for cost and registration deadlines.

All programs have minimum and maximum requirements. Programs may be canceled due to lack of registrations. Participants will be notified upon cancellation. Registration for all programs will take place at the Administrative Front Office. For more information call; (217) 732-8770.


FIT ZONE - 4-Week Foam Roller Class

Date: Wednesday Evenings in September Time: 7:00pm-7:30pm

Where: Lincoln Park District Aerobic Studio Price: Free for members $4.00 for non-member
-Please bring your own foam roller to class.

FREE COMMUNITY EVENT - World Wide Day of Play

Date: Saturday, September 29th
Time: 1:00-3:00pm

Where: Lincoln Park District Driving Range Price: FREE
The Lincoln Park District and the ALMH Community Health Collaborative are partnering together to bring the first ever World Wide Day of Play to the City of Lincoln!

Prepare to get slimy, messy, and possibly wet! While Nickelodeon shuts down their channel for the afternoon, come join us for some fun. There will be lots of things happening; including a bubble station, obstacle course, scavenger hunt, dance party, and more!

FALL PROGRAM - Girls on the Run

The Lincoln Park District is proud to be a community site this fall for Girls on the Run! Community-based teams offer girls a unique Girls on the Run experience each season.
On top of the skills already learned in Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole, our community-based teams provide a safe space for girls to develop new friendships, connect with adult mentors outside of school, and shine a light on who they are as an individual.

Where: Lincoln Park District When: Mondays & Wednesdays Time: 5:00 - 6:15pm
Ages: 3rd through 5th grade Registration ends on August 31st.

FALL PROGRAM - Swing & Hustle Dance Classes
Date: Thursdays in September (Sep. 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th)
Time: 7:00-8:00pm

Where: Lincoln Park District Aerobic Room Price: Single- $25; Couple- $45
Age: 18 years of age or older Please register by:
Tuesday, September 4th.

FALL PROGRAM - Individual Music Lessons

Music lessons for children ages 6 to 13, taught by students in the Lincoln College Contemporary Jazz Program, under the supervision of Jazz Studies lead faculty Denise La Grassa. LC Contemporary Jazz students will customize lessons for everyone from first-time beginners learning to read music to the more intermediate player interested in beginning improvisation skills. Music lessons will be offered to students interested in learning: tenor saxophone, trombone, beginning piano and guitar!

Where: Lincoln Park District When: Wednesday nights
Wednesday, September 12th through Wednesday, October 17th
30-minute sessions for tenor saxophone, trombone, beginning piano, and guitar.

Time Slots: 4:30pm-6:30pm, 30-min sessions Age: 6-13 years old
Price: $12 per 30-minute session Register by Wednesday, September 5th.

FALL PROGRAM - Picasso a Pumpkin

Date: Saturday, September 22nd
Time: 10:00am-11:30am

Where: Lincoln Park District Craft Room Price: $5 per-person
Ages 8-12 years old Pumpkins will be provided! Please register by: Wednesday, September 19th.

FREE COMMUNITY EVENT - Outdoor Movie Hocus Pocus

Date: Saturday, October 6th
Time: Dusk

Where: Next to Lincoln Park District Playground Price: FREE
This is a free event brought to you by Peasley Funeral Home and CEFCU! Come get in the Halloween spirit and watch Hocus Pocus with us. Make sure to bring a chair or blanket.


Date: Thursday, October 25th
Time: 6:30-8:30pm

Where: Lincoln Park District
There will be costume contests, games, treats & more! Make sure and visit Generations at Lincoln first for trick or treating, 5:00-6:00pm.

FALL PROGRAM - Jr. Railer Boy’s Basketball

Registration will begin in October and end in November.
Grades: 1st– 6th
Price: $50 per-player; $30 for each additional player from the same family
The season will start December 1st and end February 9th. All games will be played at the Lincoln Park District on Saturday mornings.
- All fees are due upon registration.

FALL PROGRAM - Spooktacular Cupcake Decorating

Date: Monday, October 15th Time:4:00pm-5:30pm

Where: Lincoln Park District Craft Room Price: $10 per-person
Ages: 10 year of age and older
Please register by Friday, October 12th. Come enjoy a spooky evening decorating cupcakes with us!


FIT ZONE R.I.P.P.E.D. with a Slice of P.I.E.

Date: Tuesday, November 20th

Time: 4:45pm-6:00pm

Where: Lincoln Park District Aerobic Studio Price: Free for members,$4.00 for non-member (or a non-perishable food item that will go to our local food pantry)
Come work off that slice of PIE before the big day! Enjoy an extended R.I.P.P.E.D. workout with added segments of Plyometrics, Interval, and Endurance!

FIT ZONE - On Target for the Holidays Challenge

Stay on TARGET through the holidays! 4 week challenge includes:
